If you’re tempted to not have an engagement session, give me a moment to convince you why you should.

Professional athletes spend hours of practicing. Musicians do too. Surgeons go to school for years to perfect their skills. It has been said that it takes about 10,000 hours (or about 10 years) to become an expert at something. Do you see where we are going with this?

If you want to assure yourselves that you will like the way you look in your wedding photos, you will first need to see what a professional image of yourself looks like. An engagement session is a great way to practice before your wedding. It’s an opportunity for both of you to become comfortable in front of the camera… and it’s also tons of fun!

But don’t worry… we won’t be practicing for 10,000 hours! A typical engagement session lasts 1-2 hours and it will be customized to fit your relationship.

I absolutely love getting to know my clients before their Big Day! I want to know about your relationship. How you walk, talk and cuddle together. What it looks like when you look into each other’s eyes. This helps me know how you look best, and it also gives you a chance to tell me how you like to be photographed as well.

Engagement photos are also great for Save-the-Date announcements and guest sign-in books, both of which we can custom create for you along with your wedding invitations.
